Our Promise to Players

Responsible Gambling Is Our Baseline

At pakgem, responsible play is not a footnote — it is the foundation everything else is built on.

Strictly Adults Only

Access to real-money features on pakgem is limited to individuals who are at least 18 years of age, or the higher minimum age required by the applicable license jurisdiction. Age verification is mandatory and non-negotiable.

Self-Exclusion Available

Any player who feels their gambling is becoming problematic can request a self-exclusion period — temporary or permanent — at no cost, at any time. Self-exclusion requests are processed by the support team immediately and cannot be reversed until the chosen period expires.

Deposit & Loss Limits

Players can set their own daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits and loss limits directly through their account settings. Once set, limits take effect immediately and can only be increased after a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period.

Session Time Controls

Session time reminders and hard session time limits let you decide in advance how long you want to play. When your chosen limit is reached, you are automatically logged out. This tool is especially useful for players in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and other major cities who play via mobile during commutes or late evenings.

Reality Checks

Enable periodic on-screen reality check notifications that remind you how long you have been playing and your net win/loss for the session. Reality checks are a light-touch tool designed to keep sessions mindful without interrupting your enjoyment unnecessarily.

Support Without Judgement

Pakgem's support team is trained to respond to responsible gambling concerns with care and discretion. Whether you want to set a limit, take a break or discuss a concern, you can reach us via live chat 24/7 in English or Urdu — with no judgement and no pressure.

All responsible gambling tools on pakgem are completely free to use. There are no fees, no penalties and no negative consequences for activating any limit or exclusion. We actively encourage their use — they exist to protect players, not to create barriers.

🚫

Adults Only — Strictly 18+

Pakgem is an adults-only platform. You must be at least 18 years of age — or the higher minimum age required by the operator's license jurisdiction — to register an account, make any deposit or participate in real-money gambling. Providing false date-of-birth information during registration is a breach of our Terms & Conditions and may constitute fraud. Any account found to belong to an underage individual will be closed immediately and all associated balances forfeited.

Age Verification at Pakgem

All withdrawal requests trigger mandatory KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. For Pakistani users, this typically means uploading a valid CNIC (Computerised National Identity Card) or passport, along with a selfie or liveness check. Age is confirmed as part of this process.

Do not submit altered, cropped or filtered documents. Fraudulent submissions will result in permanent account closure and may be referred to relevant authorities. Your CNIC or passport data is handled in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy and is never shared beyond verified third-party KYC processors.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a minor in your household has accessed this platform, please contact our support team immediately at [email protected] (plain text — not a link). We will close the account and review the matter urgently.

Parental Controls — What You Can Do
  • Device-level controls: Use Windows Family Safety, iOS Screen Time or Android Family Link to restrict gambling-related websites on shared devices.
  • Router filtering: Most home routers — including those provided by PTCL, Nayatel and StormFiber — allow you to create site-blocking rules by category or specific domain.
  • Account credentials: Never share your pakgem username or password with others, and use a unique password that a child or other household member could not guess.
  • Open conversations: Talking openly with young people about the risks of gambling from an early age is one of the most effective protective measures available to parents.
Player Safety Tools

How to Stay in Control

These tools are available to all registered users at zero cost. You can activate, adjust or request them through your account settings or by contacting our 24/7 support team.

Deposit Limit

Set the maximum amount you are willing to deposit over a daily, weekly or monthly window. Once the limit is reached, further deposits are blocked until the period resets. Increasing a deposit limit requires a mandatory 24-hour waiting period.

Example: Set a weekly deposit limit of PKR 5,000. Once you reach it, no further deposits are accepted until the following week regardless of what you win or lose.

Loss Limit

Cap the total amount you can lose in a given period. If your net losses reach the limit you have set, you are prevented from placing further wagers until the next period begins. Loss limits apply to real-money wagers only.

Example: A PKR 2,000 daily loss limit means that once you have lost PKR 2,000 in a single day, your session is automatically closed and no further bets can be placed until midnight.

Session Time Limit

Specify the maximum length of any single gambling session. When your chosen duration is reached, a warning is shown and then you are automatically logged out. You can also enable mid-session reality check pop-ups at regular intervals.

Example: A 60-minute session limit with 30-minute reality checks gives you an on-screen reminder halfway through and logs you out after one hour.

Cool-Off / Take a Break

Take a short break of 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days without permanently closing your account. During a cool-off period, you cannot log in, deposit or place bets. This tool is ideal if you feel you need a pause but are not ready for a full self-exclusion.

Example: After a difficult PSL match where you chased losses, a 7-day cool-off period gives you time to reset without permanently losing your account history.

Self-Exclusion

Request a formal self-exclusion for periods of 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanently. During self-exclusion, your account is suspended and you cannot create a new account. Marketing communications are halted immediately. This is the strongest tool available and is irreversible for the chosen duration.

Example: A 12-month self-exclusion is a serious commitment — and that is precisely the point. It removes the option to gamble impulsively during a difficult period.

Marketing Opt-Out

Stop receiving bonus offers, promotional emails, push notifications and SMS messages at any time. Reducing the volume of promotional contact can help players who find that offers tempt them back to the platform when they are trying to take a break.

Example: Opting out of marketing does not affect your account access or existing bonuses. You can re-subscribe at any time through account settings.

All of the above tools are accessible from your account settings dashboard. If you need help activating any tool — particularly self-exclusion — please contact our support team directly via live chat. Requests for self-exclusion are treated as urgent and are processed immediately by trained staff.

Know the Signs

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually and is not always obvious. Recognising the early signs — in yourself or someone you care about — is the first and most important step toward getting help.

Spending more on gambling than you can comfortably afford, or dipping into money set aside for necessities like rent, groceries or bills.

Chasing losses — returning to gambling after a loss specifically to try to win the money back, often resulting in even larger losses.

Hiding gambling activity from family members, friends or colleagues in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi or wherever you live.

Feeling irritable, anxious or restless when not gambling, or using gambling as a way to escape stress, boredom, loneliness or difficult emotions.

Gambling for much longer than you intended and being unable to stop even when you tell yourself you will.

Borrowing money — from family, friends, or through credit — specifically to fund gambling, or to cover gambling-related debts.

Gambling is causing tension in your personal relationships, or you are spending less time with family and friends because of gambling.

Needing to bet larger and larger amounts to feel the same level of excitement that smaller bets previously provided.

🤝

Pakgem's Player Pledge

We will always make it easier to stop than to continue, easier to set limits than to remove them, and easier to ask for help than to hide a problem. If you ever feel gambling is affecting your wellbeing, we are on your side.

If gambling is causing immediate financial or personal crisis, please step away from the Platform and speak to someone you trust, or contact a professional mental health resource. Pakgem's 24/7 support team can also activate immediate self-exclusion while you decide your next step.

Honest Self-Reflection

Self-Assessment Questions

These questions are for personal reflection only. There is no score, no tracking and no right or wrong answer — only honesty with yourself.

01

Have you ever spent more on gambling in a single session than you originally planned when you sat down to play?

02

Do you ever return to gambling specifically to try to recover money you have already lost during a previous session?

03

Have you ever felt restless, anxious or irritable when you tried to cut down or stop gambling?

04

Have you ever lied to a family member — a spouse, parent, sibling or child — about how much time or money you spend on gambling?

05

Has gambling ever caused problems with your relationships, work or studies — or has it led to you neglecting other responsibilities?

06

Have you ever borrowed money, sold something you own, or gone without food or other necessities in order to fund gambling?

07

Do you find yourself thinking about gambling frequently when you are not playing — planning your next session or reviewing past bets in detail?

08

Have you ever used gambling as a way to escape stress, loneliness, boredom or difficult emotions rather than as entertainment?

If you answered "yes" to one or more of these questions, it may be worth speaking to someone. Pakgem's support team can help you activate a self-exclusion or deposit limit right now. You can also reach out to a mental health professional or trusted person in your community for confidential guidance.

Practical Guidance

Tips for Safer Gambling

The following principles are worth building into your gambling habits before you ever feel you have a problem — not after.

  • Set Your Budget Before You Start

Decide in advance exactly how much PKR you are willing to spend in a session, and treat that figure as the full cost of your entertainment — not as a loan you expect to recover. Whether that is PKR 500, PKR 1,000 or PKR 5,000, stick to it and stop when it is gone.

  • Treat It as Occasional Entertainment

Gambling is a form of paid entertainment — like a cricket match at the Gaddafi Stadium or a cinema outing in Karachi. Most people would not go to a cinema every single day. Apply the same thinking to gambling sessions: occasional, planned and budgeted.

  • Never Chase Losses

Chasing losses is the most common route into problem gambling. If you reach your budget limit during a session, walk away. A losing session does not create an obligation to keep playing. The odds do not change because you are already down.

  • Gamble Sober and Rested

Avoid gambling when you are tired, emotionally upset, under the influence of substances or feeling financial pressure. Decision-making deteriorates significantly in these states, and impulsive bets placed in a poor frame of mind rarely reflect your actual risk appetite.

  • Keep Gambling Separate from Your Finances

Only ever fund gambling with money that is genuinely disposable — money you would otherwise spend on entertainment and that has no other purpose in your budget. Never use money from rent, utilities, family expenses, emergency savings or any payment committed elsewhere.

  • Take Regular Breaks

Even within a single session, stand up and take breaks. It is easy to lose track of time, especially during live cricket or PSL betting. Use the session timer feature on pakgem to force regular intervals and to limit total session length before you start.

  • Understand the Odds

Every casino game has a built-in house edge, meaning that over a large number of plays, the operator retains a percentage of all wagers. Slots, roulette and baccarat are games of chance. Past results have no effect on future outcomes. Understanding this keeps expectations realistic.

  • Use the Tools — Proactively

Do not wait until gambling feels out of control to use deposit limits, session timers and reality checks. Set them now as a structural safeguard. It is much easier to set sensible limits when you are relaxed than to try to enforce discipline during an intense session.
